Expanding HR Manage 3.6

We are currently working on HR Manage 3.6.1, a minor release that should be finished around the end of May 2010.  This version will contain a couple of technology upgrades (including moving to the .NET Framework 4.0, just released by Microsoft), a powerful new module will join the HR Manage suite and we'll introduce a couple of exciting new features.

Firstly, as part of our policy to stay up to date with the latest technology available on the market, we're moving HR Manage 3.6 to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.  The new version of the .NET Framework is being released on 12 April 2010 by Microsoft and this framework will thus need to be installed on all servers and client computers using HR Manage.  We'll also include various other improvements to network traffic, caching of lookup tables and performance.

In this version, we will also expose part of the HR Manage framework for external developers.  This basically means that if your company employs software developers, developing applications based on the Microsoft .NET Framework, they will now be able to develop plug-ins that integrate with HR Manage directly, that will be specific to your company.  For example, if your company requires a module that is currently not in HR Manage (e.g. Time & Attendance), your developers can develop this module which will use the same security and networking technology as HR Manage.  When opening an employee for instance, there will be an additional menu for opening a screen to manage time & attendance data for that employee.

Finally, we are developing an online Incident Reporting / Quality Management System that is fully integrated with HR Manage.  Like the rest of the modules in the HR Manage suite, this module will be extremely customisable.  Companies will be able to define their own incident types, define a process to follow for each type of incident and specify which groups of people are responsible for managing each activity in the process.  Custom fields (textboxes, dropdowns, etc) can be defined for each activity that must be completed by the person responsible for the activity and the system will also allow for attachments, keeping track of changes made to the attachments between activities.

Newsflash

We have upgraded the HR Manage Web Interface to version 3.5. The system is developed on ASP.NET version 3 which features the latest technology from Microsoft.

The new upgraded system has more functionality and will be more integrated with other modules whereas version 3.0 was purely used for performance reviews and displaying job profiles.
